Phillips’ Fine Wines is a family business that was established in 1946. It survived the great flood of 1955, unlike many other local businesses. Located in the quaint town of Stockton, NJ along the Delaware River, this small, charming storefront houses several rooms with wines from around the world. The knowledgeable and incredibly helpful staff will make recommendations and can help you put together a case or two of fine wines, or just be available for advice as you browse through the eclectic inventory which spills from room to room and one part of the world to another. In 2014, the opportunity to branch out on his own arose and Paul and his wife Jennifer purchased Phillips Fine Wines in Stockton.

Paul Tilch is a fourth generation in the wine business. He grew up working in the business, assumed the wine department responsibilities of his family’s store, Silesia Liquors. One of the icon stores in the Washington DC Area it has been referenced and quoted in the Washington Post and Washingtonian countless times over the years for running one of the best fine wine and spirit shops. Raymond, Paul’s Father, and Michael prided themselves on their ability to recognize their customers’ tastes and educate them as they venture into the large landscape of wines.   He made a major impact in the Washington, DC wine market which fostered his inherent and family-learned passion for wine and wine education.  Paul, Jennifer and their newborn son, Cullen, hope to continue the legacy of his family as well as keep the tradition of Phillips alive as a destination wine stop for those customers looking to find unique wines and spirits.
